Data Centre – Central England
A single-storey expansion of a 302 sq m data centre, to house additional servers and equipment for a major UK telecommunications provider. The building has been designed to support high…
Our work with data centre operators demonstrates our robust approach to the design of value-for-money, future-proof engineering solutions. Our technical, project management and interdisciplinary collaboration skills are ideally suited to the complex, high-specification nature of critical infrastructure like data centres, hospitals and power generators.
Our approach includes expert design of resilient, high load-bearing structures, foundation solutions and fault-tolerant structural layouts. We combine our extensive knowledge of MMC with advanced, performance-driven materials that improve the efficiency, sustainability, durability and functionality of the building and infrastructure. Our solution is focused on helping achieve the highest BREEAM rating whilst complying with all relevant standards including Building Regulations and Uptime Institute requirements.
We use BIM by default on all schemes and work collaboratively across the design and construction teams to ensure seamless integration with other disciplines such as MEP, fire, ICT and security, reducing the potential for clashes which could increase budget and impact on completion, and ensuring a single source of building data for audits and certification.
