Project Brief
This design and build contract was to construct 66 new 2 and 3-bed properties for Home Group. The development built on a Greenfield site to the west of Bradford, included associated hard landscaping, parking and adopted highways and sewers.
Solution
This scheme was developer led and Adept were involved at feasibility stage to negotiate an agreement for the optimum solutions for earthworks and drainage.
The site had considerable fall across it and was further complicated by a Yorkshire Water aqueduct running along the site boundary. Through carefully setting levels and moving the location of some doors and pathways along with utilising on plot surface water storage we managed to make the scheme affordable for the client.
This was one of the few schemes we have had to requisition a sewer in order to get the site to drain without pumping.
