Adept has successfully been awarded ISO 19650 accreditation, an international standard for managing information over the whole life cycle of a built asset, from Stroma Certification following a successful BIM (Building Information Modelling) audit procedure. This certification reinforces Adept’s commitment to BIM and demonstrates the team’s understanding, capability and capacity to deliver BIM projects.

The outcome follows a rigorous audit process involving a review of procedures to ensure compliance with the ISO 19650 standard, and an ‘in-person’ assessment, where knowledge and understanding of BIM and the ISO 19650 standard were reviewed, as well as looking at evidence of BIM documentation and how it is used and applied to projects.

Adept were early adopters of BIM, being the first civil and structural engineering practice in the UK to achieve BRE BIM Level 2 Global business systems certification back in 2015 for the previous PAS 1192 standard. Achieving ISO 19650 accreditation with Stroma Certification further reinforces Adept’s commitment to BIM and the numerous benefits it brings to projects, workflows and clients.

Delivering BIM projects to ISO 19650 is an ever developing and adapting process. The certification reaffirms Adept’s commitment to the continued development of information management and policies, the training of staff and, the utilisation of advanced technologies and processes to ensure top-quality service and deliverables for clients and stakeholders.
