Project Brief

The project involved the redevelopment of an existing petrol filling station, to comprise a new shop, a six-pump forecourt and separate HGV filling facility, two jet wash bays, customer parking and installation of 3 No below-ground 65,000 litre underground fuel tanks.

Solution

We provided civil and structural engineering design services for all aspects of this station redevelopment, including proposals for the foundations, Ground floor slabs, external works, Totem Signage and drainage systems.

Our team reviewed the existing drainage system and survey to advise on FW and SW proposals prior to submitting plans for approvals.  On further inspection it became apparent that the existing petrol station did not have a direct SW connection from site and therefore additional work was required to achieve approved SW connection from site with Yorkshire Water once works had already started on site.

Throughout the project our team worked proactively to produce and review design and calculations, as well communicate with third parties to secure approval from the LLFA, Building control and Yorkshire Water.

A new substation and 3 No EV charging stations were also located on site.
