Our commitment to using best‑in‑class technologies and rigorous management systems has shaped our approach from the very beginning.

We have embraced BIM since our very early days. Having first implemented Revit and Civil 3D in 2008, before the “BIM” acronym was widely understood, we recognised the value of advanced 3D modelling in delivering coordinated, efficient and high‑quality engineering solutions. Whilst very few businesses were using the technology at the time, we could see the potential benefits to efficiency and productivity and the distinct advantage it held for our fledgling company.

Since 2013, we have used BIM on all projects by default. Our early commitment paid off: in 2015, we became one of the first structural engineering practices in the UK to obtain BRE BIM Level 2 Global Business Systems certification.

We have continued to invest in our building information management systems and the training of our engineers and technicians. In April 2023, we achieved BS EN ISO 19650 certification, endorsing our commitment to BIM and our team’s capability and capacity to deliver information‑rich, well‑coordinated projects.

Our high‑quality models comply with relevant Exchange Information Requirements, BIM protocols and BIM Execution Plans in line with BS EN ISO 19650 and other applicable standards, providing a reliable basis for decision‑making throughout a building’s lifecycle.

In early 2026, we were proud to renew our ISO 19650 accreditation with LRQA, a UKAS‑accredited body, a milestone that reflects nearly two decades of digital innovation, investment in technology, and a genuine belief in improving engineering outcomes.

In line with our “engineering better together” ethos, our commitment to BIM continues to enhance collaboration, coordination and quality across every scheme in which we are involved.
