Adept Joins £48m Moss Nook Phase 3 to Deliver 300 Affordable Homes in St Helens

Adept is happy to announce our involvement in the £48m Moss Nook Phase 3 scheme. Consisting of approximately 300 new affordable homes on over 19.5 acres of brownfield land for North West. based affordable housing provider, Torus, in partnership with developer, Watkin Jones and Harworths, with partial funding from Homes England.
Adept has been appointed to deliver post-planning, detailed civil and structural engineering design services.
In line with our company ethos of nourishing long-term client relationships, our proactive engineering team in Manchester undertook extensive value engineering to allow the continuation of the scheme within the timescales of the project.
Our work includes Local Highway Authority Section 38 and Utilities Section 104 approvals for the new site roads, cut and fill modelling, detailed site levels, and foundation and floor slab design, including value engineering and zonal planning.
The scheme is the latest phase in the development of the 95-acre former brownfield Moss Nook site in St Helens which kickstarted with 258 homes and a £3m sports facility in Phases 1 and 2 respectively of the masterplan.
