Adept has expanded into new flagship premises within Sunny Bank Mills in Farsley, after signing a five-year lease on a 3,700 square foot office suite, making it one of the largest tenants within the business complex.

We have relocated into a state of the art and newly refurbished office suite on the ground floor of Sunny Bank Mills’ 1912 Mill, which is a key landmark within the historic complex thanks to its iconic tower.

Adept moved into Sunny Bank Mills in 2014 and previously occupied an office suite within The Festoon Rooms, which sits towards the southern end of the 10-acre former mill development.

The company’s new office boasts an open plan layout, with separate meeting areas, and has been designed to maximise all of The 1912 Mill’s original character as well as being flooded with natural light from its eight-foot-high windows, which are a prominent feature of the building.  It also benefits from high speed broadband and a low-carbon, solar powered heating and cooling system.  One of the key drivers for Adept’s move was to offer its staff a creative working environment, in a light and contemporary environment, complete with a games area including table tennis and an Xbox.

Adept was founded in 2007 by business partners, Erol Erturan, Matthew Ramsden and Richard Parker, and now employs 34 people with an annual turnover of approximately £2 million.  Clients include a wide range of regional and national construction and development firms such as Strategic Team Group, McCarthy & Stone, ISG, Simons Construction, Interserve, Asda, Next PLC, Debenhams, CBRE and Town Centre Securities.

Erol Erturan, Managing Director of Adept, says: “Since relocating from Pudsey to Sunny Bank Mills just over three years ago, we have continued expanding and  had outgrown our previous office space.  We were keen to stay at Sunny Bank Mills, which has been a fantastic base for us, and The 1912 Mill really appealed  because it’s full of stunning architectural features and offers an inspirational working environment.

“Our new office has benefited from an exceptional refurbishment, that is configured to suit our individual   requirements, and it gives us a superb space to embark on our next phase of growth, which makes this a great move     for our entire team.”

William Gaunt, joint managing director of Edwin Woodhouse & Co Ltd, which owns Sunny Bank Mills, adds: “Adept is an innovative and forward-thinking company  which makes it a valuable part of the business community at Sunny Bank Mills, so it’s been a privilege to be able to facilitate the team’s expansion into The 1912 Mill.

“We’re due to welcome several more businesses into Sunny Bank Mills over the coming months and have units available, ranging in size between 390 to over 7,000 sq  ft that will appeal to creative and progressive businesses, making it an exciting time for us.”

Sunny Bank Mills opened in 1829 and operated as a textile mill for more than 170 years, before being transformed into one of West Yorkshire’s finest business centres  in more recent years as part of a significant investment programme totalling more than £6 million so far.  The complex is currently home to 70 businesses  that employ over 350 people.
