Fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) concrete strengthening schemes
Adept have carried out numerous engineering designs for Fibrwrap UK including reinforcing an iconic Yorkshire bridge and strengthening an 11-storey London building, using innovative carbon fibre technology.
Erol Erturan, Adept’s Managing Director, says: “Fibrwrap’s technology is hugely effective in adding major structural strength and its uses are endless, so we’re delighted to be working with the firm on these latest prestigious projects. Unlike concrete or steel, carbon fibre doesn’t have a British Standard design code, but we have established an unrivalled understanding of the material. Our success lies in our ability to produce accurate project evaluations, effective designs and precise calculations, which continually translate into successful projects.”
Other high profile work that Adept has recently completed for Fibrwrap include a bear pit at Dudley Zoo, reinforcing floor plates on the maternity ward at Barnsley General Hospital so three brand new birthing pools could be installed, repairing water pipes at E.ON Energy’s power station in North Wales and strengthening floor slabs at Blackburn Cathedral.
